Finding a House
Location --- Construction Materials --- Wiring --- Quick Solutions

If you are severely affected by EMF sensitivity and need immediate relief, you might consider one of the following options. These solutions are fairly quickly implemented and will enable you to create a livable space for yourself as quickly as possible. Note that these are temporary solutions and the best solution is to renovate your existing house or to buy/rent a new house that you can tolerate and live in comfortably.

A) Rent a Cottage

Many individuals who have EMF sensitivity find themselves in a house that does not support their illness. Renting a cottage can be a temporary solution that gives you time to recuperate, and also allows you to see whether you feel better in different locations and in houses made of different building materials.

B) Purchase a Trailer

Trailers offer the benefit of mobility. You are able to drive to different locations to see whether you feel better in certain regions than others. By living in a trailer, you can get away from the power grid.

We recommend visiting your local RV/trailer outlet and asking about available options. In evaluating trailers, ask the vendor what material a trailer is made of. Be sure to inquire about the material used for the trailer roof and the floor, as many trailers use different materials for the floor and roof.

You should look at Airstream trailers (which are made of aluminum) to see if they may be an alternative for you. You may want to add additional shielding to your trailer (such as insulation, a steel fence, a steel carport roof) as many individuals find trailers helpful, but not sufficient in reducing EMFs.

If you purchase a Used trailer, you may want to limit your driving as many of these vehicles are not roadworthy. Used trailers frequently have rotting floors and mold so be sure to inspect any used vehicle that you are considering carefully.

In addition to trailers, you should also consider buses that have been fitted with a living space. Buses are usually made of steel with a plastic interior which may offer more relief for your symptoms. A used or older bus without satellite and without built in speakers is preferred for EMF sensitive individuals.

C) Purchase or Build a Shed or Small Cottage

By building a shed or cottage, you are creating a space for yourself that is removed from your house power lines. Also, if your house has any environmental problems such as mold, you will quickly remove yourself from this environment.

Metal sheds: Commercial grade metal sheds, such as those used for agricultural and farming purposes can offer protection from several frequencies. You should paint and insulate your shed as metal can reverberate from ambient fields. The larger the shed, the less you will be affected by any reverberations or reflections inside of the shed.

If you purchase a shed, you should lay down a concrete pad before installing the shed. This will help reduce moisture accumulating in the shed in the winter and rainy months, which can damage the frame of the shed and your belongings.

Plastic sheds: These can be purchased at your local hardware store and will offer protection from several frequencies.

Concrete sheds: You can also build a shed of concrete blocks or other stone or brick materials. Use as few metal support rods or rebar for this structure as possible.
